VEGAN BANG BANG BROCCOLI

VEGAN BANG BANG BROCCOLI

Ingredients

Bang Bang Sauce

1/4 C. Vegan Mayonnaise
2 tbsp. L. Chili Sauce
1 tbsp. L. Nectar Agave

hollow

1 C. almond milk
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
3/4 C. All-purpose flour
1/2 C. corn starch
1 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Spicy sauce

And the rest

2 breadcrumbs
1 head of broccoli
Frying oil
Green onion for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce, beat the mayonnaise, chili paste and agave in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Make a dough, add apple cider vinegar to almond milk in a small bowl and leave for a few minutes to cook a vegetarian buttermilk. Add flour, corn starch and salt to a medium-sized bowl, then add a mixture of hot sauce and almond milk to the dry ingredients and beat until a mixture forms.
  3. Put the panko in a separate bowl.
  4. Cut the broccoli into inflorescences, then heat the oil over medium heat in a large saucepan. I like to use a cast-iron frying pan; you need about 1/2 to 1 inch of oil at the bottom of the pan.
  5. Dip each broccoli flower in the dough, then in the panko and carefully apply. Once the oil has warmed, add broccoli to the hot oil. Fry for about a minute or two on each side or until brown and crispy. Pour sauce and serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

If you want to bake broccoli instead of frying it, bake it at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until it is browned.
